Dr. Christa Gallagher

Dr. Christa Gallagher spent most of her adolescence in upstate New York but has resided in North Carolina for fourteen years with her family. Dr. Gallagher graduated in 1990 from the State University of New York at Albany with a major in biology and minor in chemistry. Following her dream to become a veterinarian, she attended Ross University School of Veterinary medicine and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in June of 1993.

In 1998 Dr. Gallagher started the Arbor Creek Animal Hospital where she practiced small animal medicine for seven years as a solo practitioner. Dr. Gallagher has a special interest in physical rehabilitation, and in 2003 obtained her Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP). Filling a niche in Wake County, Dr. Gallagher opened the Arbor Creek Animal Wellness and Rehabilitation Clinic; a specialty practice dedicated to providing physical rehab to animals following surgery, injury, or disease. In November of 2006 both practices were combined to form Arbor Creek Animal Hospital & Rehabilitation Clinic, where all of our veterinary services were housed in one facility. Dr. Gallagher has also had a special interest in disaster preparedness and has completed a year long course through UNC Chapel Hill School of Public Health entitled Community Preparedness and Disaster Management. She is currently taking Veterinary Homeland Security Graduate Program through Purdue University.Dr. Gallagher is a member of The American Veterinary Medical Association, The Veterinary Information Network, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and the NC Veterinary Response Corps.

 Dr. Gallagher husband Barry owns Newcastle Cabinet Company of Holly Springs. They have two daughters, Abaigeal and Lucy, a Labrador Retriever Griffin, a cat Fireheart, a horse Aspyre, and a black and white pony named Truffles.When Dr. Gallagher has free time she enjoys riding her horse, reading, and traveling 


 Dr. Laura Gaylord

 Dr. Laura Gaylord was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin where she lived for 14 years before moving with her family to Rocky Mount, NC.  She graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 after finishing her undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1992.  She has worked in small animal practice for 12 years in North Carolina handling all patient needs that include medicine, surgery, dentistry, and wellness programs.  Her special interests include internal medicine, pain management, pathology, anesthesia, and wellness strategies for pets.  Dr. Gaylord belongs to the American Veterinary Medical Association, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, the Veterinary Information Network, and is a board member with the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association.  Dr. Gaylord is married to Daniel Gaylord, an attorney practicing in Cary, NC, and together they have two daughters, Hannah and Amelia.  Their four-legged children includes Ember, a black lab, and two cats (Spice, and Little Man).  In her free time she enjoys cooking, running, college sports, and bluegrass music.  


Dr. Cynthia Piver

 Dr.Cynthia Piver, a North Carolina native, grew up in Chapel Hill and attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate studies –GO HEELS!  She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004.  Dr. Piver also attended The Chi Institute for Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA).  She spent several years working as an equine veterinarian and as a mixed animal practitioner before focusing on small animals.   She has a strong interest in integrated medicine, which is combining both conventional medicine with alternative medicine (such as acupuncture, herbal medicine).  Dr. Piver and her husband live in Raleigh with their son and two rescue Treeing Walker Coonhounds, Clovis and Clancy.  In their spare time they enjoy snowboarding, boating, wakeboarding, and camping.
